Adoption Conditions

All our animals are delivered vaccinated, dewormed and chipped.

To adopt a bigeye we have an adoption fee of €40 to help us cover the costs that Let's go to the animals. This adoption fee is applied to all animals, with the exception of adult cats (male and female). Adult cats (male and female) have an adoption fee of €65.

Sterilization is mandatory between 4 and 6 months of age, so a deposit remains another €40 until the animal is sterilized (deposit equal for dogs and cats).

You can choose to have the sterilization done with the clinic with which we have a partnership, with the surgeries being paid with the value of the deposit ( female cat - €65 // male cat - €25 // male dog up to 25kg - €50 // male dog over 25kg - €70 // female dog up to 25kg - €85 // female dog over 25kg - €100). Or you can do it at another veterinarian and, in that case, the deposit is returned when we receive the sterilization declaration, as long as it is made by the day the animal turns 7 months old. Otherwise the value is lost. The responsibility for sending the sterilization declaration lies with the adopter, even if it is done at the partner clinic, you should always send it to the email adocao@patudosvagos.pt.

The animal's chip remains in the name of PatudosVagos until it is sterilized. When we receive the sterilization declaration, the ownership of the chip will be changed to the name of your guardian.

From the date of adoption, adopters assume full responsibility for the animal in all circumstances. See our Adoption and Responsibility Terms

In the event of failure to comply with sterilization within the agreed deadlines and failure to present the sterilization declaration, we will notify the competent authorities and we will recover the animal and carry out their sterilization.

For cats, we only do the FIV and FeLV test when they are sterilized (4 to 6 months). However, you can request the test for baby cats for an additional cost of €25.

Big cats need super families ❤ who love, respect and care for them forever.
