Adoption Conditions

All our animals are delivered vaccinated, dewormed, and chipped.

To adopt a pet, we have an adoption fee of 65€ to help us cover the costs we have for taking care of the animals. This adoption fee is applied to all animals and helps us help more and more strays.

When adopting a non-sterilized pet, a Junior Fee of 40€ applies to guarantee the sterilization of the pet. You have the right to free sterilization at our partner clinic (VetCalvão, in Calvão) until the end of the 6th month of the pet.

The animal's chip remains in the name of PatudosVagos until it is sterilized. When we receive the sterilization declaration, the ownership of the chip will be changed to the name of the pet's guardian.

The responsibility for sending the sterilization declaration lies with the adopter, even if it is done at the partner clinic, the adopter should always send it to the email adocao@patudosvagos.pt.

From the date of adoption, adopters assume full responsibility for the animal in all circumstances. See our Adoption and Responsibility Terms

In the event of failure to comply with sterilization within the agreed deadlines and failure to present the sterilization declaration, we will notify the competent authorities and we will recover the pet to carry out sterilization.

For cats, we only do the FIV and FeLV test when they are sterilized (4 to 6 months). However, you can request the test for baby cats for an additional cost of 25€.

Pets need super families❤ who love, respect and care for them forever.
