- PatudosVagos - Associação, is a non-profit association, with tax identification number 516 436 634, with headquarters at Rua de São Pedro n° 40, Calvão, Vagos.
- PatudosVagos - Association's mission is to rescue animals in trouble, provide them with the necessary care and find them forever families!
- PatudosVagos - Association is also dedicated to raising awareness and informing the general population with a view to changing behaviors and mentalities towards all living beings that are sensitive to pain, stress and anguish.
- At PatudosVagos - Associação values are responsibility, commitment and awareness. Respect for life, combating the abandonment of animals and their mass sterilization are a constant concern.
Although each of us began our volunteering solo and at different times, , it was in 2021 that we founded PatudosVagos. Initially it was entirely voluntary work, carried out by animal-friendly people, who volunteered their free time for this cause. As the association grew, we created some jobs to ensure daily treatment of all the dogs under our jurisdiction, rescues and other necessary actions.
PatudosVagos - Association's objectives are:
- The collection, defense and protection of abandoned and/or unprotected animals and/or victims of abuse.
- Treatment of animals that are injured, sick or at immediate risk.
- Preventive medicine in as many animals as possible to mitigate the effect of existing viruses.
- The search for decent families and forever all our big dogs.
- Raising awareness among the population on issues of animal abandonment and the importance of sterilization and electronic identification.
- Support for colony and street animal caregivers, through from awareness to sterilization.
In our facilities there are big dogs from every imaginable situation. Some are fearful animals, most are very lacking in affection, patience and human interaction.
Our animals do not go hungry or thirsty and have veterinary care. Everyone has access to playgrounds to socialize, play and be happy.
The health and well-being of the animals in our care is our priority. Soon followed by the importance of finding families for our boys and thus gaining places to help even more big dogs! It's a cycle and we need all the help we can get to change the lives of as many Big Dogs as possible.
